Project Description

The footbridge over the Labe River in the offered design represents a modern approach to design with a combination of steel – concrete materials. The RCC ledge beam is supported by branching steel supports resting on foundations under the terrain level. Abutments are integrated in the frame system, thus forming a single maintenance-free unit without bearings or dilatations. The total length of the bridge is 74.0 m and the span of the main arch is 53.2 m. The architectonic design was awarded by the competition evaluation committee from among thirty-one accepted designs.
